Cookie Policy
Last updated: May 11, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Truffle Homes (“Truffle,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our websites and applications (collectively, the “Service”).
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device to store information. We also use related technologies such as web beacons, pixels, local storage, and session storage. Throughout this policy, we refer to all of these collectively as “cookies.”
2. Types of Cookies We Use
Strictly necessary cookies
Required for the Service to function — for example, to keep you signed in, remember your search preferences across pages, and secure your session. These cannot be turned off through our controls without breaking the Service.
Performance and analytics cookies
Help us understand how visitors interact with the Service — which pages are visited, how features perform, and where errors occur. We use this data to improve the product. These may be set by analytics providers such as Sentry (for error monitoring) and similar tools.
Functional cookies
Remember your choices (such as language preference, saved searches, and UI state) so the Service feels personalized when you return.
Marketing and advertising cookies
If and when we run advertising campaigns, advertising partners may set cookies to measure ad effectiveness, attribute sign-ups, and (in some cases) show you ads on other sites. We disclose specific advertising providers here as our marketing stack is implemented.
3. Cookies Set by Third Parties
Some cookies on the Service are set by third parties whose services we use, such as analytics providers, payment processors, and (where applicable) advertising platforms. Those cookies are controlled by the third party and subject to their privacy policies.
4. How Long Cookies Last
Cookies may be either session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent cookies (remain on your device for a fixed period or until you delete them). The duration depends on the cookie's purpose.
5. Your Choices
You can manage cookies in several ways:
- Browser settings: most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will break parts of the Service.
- Opt-out tools: for analytics, you can often use the provider's own opt-out (e.g., browser plug-ins). For advertising, you can use industry opt-out programs such as the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info) or the Network Advertising Initiative (optout.networkadvertising.org).
- Do Not Track: we honor browser-level Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where required by law. We do not currently respond to legacy “Do Not Track” headers due to the lack of a common standard.
6. Cookies and Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly use cookies to collect personal information from children.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
